Hi, I'm Hiral.
A small-town girl from Junagadh, Gujarat, who fell in love with the saree long before she knew it would become her life's work. This is the story of how that love became Barekee.
“A saree has never been just a garment to me. It is grace woven into fabric, a reflection of our culture, and a celebration of India's extraordinary textile heritage.”
— Hiral Bhatt, Founder, BarekeeFrom Junagadh to a Business Degree
I come from the small town of Junagadh in Gujarat, but I was raised in Jamnagar, where I completed my schooling. I went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), followed by a diploma in Digital Marketing.
Like many young professionals, I explored different career paths and worked across multiple jobs. Each role taught me something valuable, but none of them gave me the sense of purpose I was searching for. That purpose, it turned out, had quietly been with me since childhood.
From Passion to Barekee
A Childhood Fascination
Ever since I was a little girl, I've been fascinated by sarees — every weave, embroidery, and handcrafted detail felt like a story worth preserving.
No Roadmap to Follow
I come from a family with no entrepreneurial background — no one to tell me how to source fabric, build a brand, or run a business.
A Leap of Faith
I wanted a space where sarees and the artistry behind them could be celebrated. So I started before I felt completely ready — and Barekee was born.
Learning, One Weave at a Time
Filled with experimentation, small mistakes, and bigger victories — every challenge has shaped Barekee and strengthened what we stand for.
More Than a Saree Label
Today, Barekee is my way of celebrating Indian craftsmanship, supporting skilled artisans, and helping women rediscover the timeless beauty of sarees in a way that feels effortless and meaningful.
This journey is still unfolding, and I know there is so much more to learn. But one thing has never changed: I still believe in taking chances, staying true to my vision, and finding beauty in every little detail — because sometimes, it's the smallest bareekee that makes the biggest difference.
